Mini Golf Reviews presents: KOA Hole 7

Union, Illinois

Hole 7 was designed well for this putt-putt type course. You have to hit into the castle and putt the ball into the hole on the left. Logically, one would think the left hole in the castle is the right one but they actually are switched! Also the design of the ramp and the small opening can make it challenging to get the one you want (the right) as it bounces around quite a bit inside.

One criticism I have for these type of holes is that you have to use the skill shot. There should always be another way that is not a direct route. This is important to allow players a choice and can be easier for younger kids. Basically a opening to the right of the castle would be a good option.
