Greater Milwaukee Golf Show!

Yesterday Missus Mini Golf and I made a trek to the Wisconsin State Fair Grounds in West Allis to check out the Greater Milwaukee Golf Show. People from near and far made the journey to attend the show and share information, giveaways, and great prizes with attendees.

Missus Mini Golf and I were decked out in our finest Mini Golf shirts made by Missus Mini Golf’s youngest sister Sophie. They definitely grabbed people’s attention. Sophie knows fashion!

Missus and I even made some swanky spur-of-the-moment buttons to wear too! It contained my QR code golf ball and the name of the website, MiniGolfReviews.com

I also had these little golf tee slips to share with the website on it.

Next year, I will have to step it up with the handouts, that’s for sure! Perhaps MiniGolfReviews.com golf balls? Tell me what you think!

Walking around the golf show, there was plenty to see and do, along with a steady crowd of folks. On one end of the gigantic expo center they had a training area for people to get lessons. They also had a short-game (chipping) prize hole setup that must have been 100+ feet and a putting prize hole that was around 50+ feet that anyone that made the shots won a prize package and an entry in to other various contests including the chance to win $10,000 šŸ¤‘ at a putting contest. I was lucky enough to see one guy nail the putt and I watched in awe and applauded. These areas were quite neat and I should have nabbed some photos of it all but I was a bit overwhelmed šŸ¤Ŗ.

In addition to the training area and prize holes there were booths galore! Selling things from golf course memberships to used equipment. They had nearly everything related to golf but they didn’t have Mini Golf! Perhaps I can fill that void next year! A booth costs $800 dollars so I’d have to see if I could work something out with the show to have something there. I think it would be a good opportunity and something to have as a goal. You can help me reach my goal through purchasing any items on my site. I make a small portion of the sales price at no additional cost to you. Check out my recommended products page here.

Two booths really stuck out to us at the show that somewhat applied to Mini Golf. I am sharing our interactions with them below:

Golfdotz

The first booth that got me was the GolfDotz booth which is a cool way to personalize and mark your ball. Why is it cool? It’s essentially a tattoo for your golf ball and it is so easy to apply. I’m looking forward to connecting with them again and seeing what I can do to help them in the Mini Golf world.

In the next picture you can see a display of Emoji Balls aka Ballmojis!

In this picture you can see a wide selection of options they have for golf balls. Maybe we will see a line of MiniGolfReviews.com with #MisterMiniGolf in the future! šŸ˜

Next we have a business card that is sleek and simple. Very nice.

Now onto my freebies! Missus Mini Golf and I both got a pack courtesy of our new friend and founder of Golfdotz, David Poole. David and his wife Sonia are incredibly passionate people with one of those ideas that changes the golf industry in a fun way! I hope to work with them in the future. Maybe soon you’ll see Golfdotz coming to a course near you.

My pack was the winking tongue guy šŸ˜œ

Missus Mini Golf chose the cool shades dude šŸ˜Ž

Here’s a picture of the back of the packaging

Last but not least, David put this Golfdotz on this ball right in front of us. It’s so easy! šŸ¤“

I also purchased this great Chromax Yellow/Gold Golf Ball that just looks so sharp and fancy! At a random seller’s booth for $3.00 (Thanks for the inspiration Allan Cox šŸ˜) I think I will use it exclusively for putting, I wouldn’t want to risk losing such a fine specimen on the course with a bad drive! Hey Chromax! If you are reading this I’d love a sponsorship opportunity šŸ˜Žā›³ļø

Ember Exotic Wood Putters

The last booth we visited was Ember Exotic Wood Putters run by Mike and Barb Keith and I knew I had to have one of their putters. They had the most wonderful wood putters that just felt so good and looked amazing! Long story short I am getting a custom MisterMiniGolf/Mini Golf Reviews putter made. Mike helped me through the creation process and I think we have designed something that will knock everyone’s socks off! It is going to be awesome! I can’t wait to show you all when it is done! Check out their business card below:

All and all the Greater Milwaukee Golf Show was a fun experience where I got to network a bit and see the best golf has out there in my local area. Looking forward to next year and building on all of the new opportunities that have presented themselvestome.

  1. I look forward to this golf show every year and after going this year I donā€™t know that Iā€™m ever going to go back. The show was very small with not many vendors and all the things I look forward to to try to find or buy weā€™re not there.

    1. I feel you on that, I didnā€™t get invited to come back for this year, but I know COVID had hit them really hard for the 2020 show. Probably didnā€™t want to have as much risk.

Looking forward to the nicer weather and getting out to play though.
