Coral Reef Mini Golf – Hole 6
The sixth hole of Coral Reef Mini Golf is a complicated sloped hole. It is my favorite on this course and is the only hole that has the three types of cups. The orange cup is located near the front on a slight incline with a drop off behind it into a ravine that will carry the ball below to the area with the red penalty cup. The standard hole is across a narrow bridge and via a bend at the top to hit a blue rock as a deflection. The design is very unique, challenging, and thought provoking. It ranks in a top 10 hole of all time for those reasons!
A neat bonus feature of this course is that many holes have multiple cup placements. These cups have different scoring values as well. The break down is below:
Orange cup = minus one. For example, a hole-in-one becomes a hole-in-zero! The cup size is smaller than the standard cup.
White cup = zero. This is a standard cup and is scored as normal.
Red Cup = plus one. This cup is essentially a penalty cup and is slightly larger than a standard cup. A hole-in-one on this cup is actually a hole-in-two.
