Minocqua, Wisconsin

Holey Moley: America’s Favorite Mini Golfer

The eighth hole of the Settlers Mill Adventure Golf course is a jump shot over a ravine to an open green with a natural based totem pole backstop. It’s a pretty cool design and one of my favorites on this course by turning a classic hole into a work of art.

Mister Mini Golf Pro Tips

Be firm to jump across and try to keep it right up the middle as best you can so you don’t fly off the edges of the totem pole.

ADA Accessibility Notes: This course is not accessible. There are many impassible obstacles and paths that are difficult to traverse for able bodied individuals let alone those in need of ADA accommodations. As an older course this makes sense. It was grandfathered in to remain the same. Usually adjusting for ADA can be expensive and change the integrity of the course. Many of these designs wouldn’t work as well if they had to adjust for ADA compliance.

For more details on course accessibility, always check in with a course you are visiting as they may be able to do additional accommodations. In addition, a great resource is the ADA Checklist for Miniature Golf Courses.
