Puttery – Conservatory Course – Hole 4

Minneapolis, Minnesota

Puttery is a Mini Golf franchise found at 10 locations throughout the U.S. with more locations on the way. The Puttery location we went to was in Minneapolis, Minnesota and consisted of three themed 9 hole courses:

The Conservatory – 9 holes

Library – 9 holes

Art – 9 holes

Puttery is 21+ establishment. They focus on food and beverage sales with indoor Mini Golf. It’s fun and great for social gatherings but the Mini Golf is just okay. Theming is pretty solid and certainly some great ideas for a couple of holes but overall playability is not really great at all.

Some tech is also incorporated into the course with electronic scorekeeping, leaderboards, and ace tracker. Cool features but has their own problems such as letting groups play through. The system is not setup for that so you can be waiting quite a bit.

Also, no different colors for golf balls so best to play one at a time all the way through to avoid confusion. Although number marked, it can be difficult to keep track with a lot of players.

This is the fourth hole of the Conservatory course at Puttery in Minneapolis. Hole 4 is a slightly sloped hole continuing with the Koi Pond with two Koi on this design too. A bounce bar is on the back wall and the hole is hidden again on the front left with a slight slope there too. Three bars also act as deflectors as you transition into the next section.

Mister Mini Golf Pro Tips

Avoid the blue bars but aim for the metal bar in the back between the left and center blue bars. That will help get you to the angles you need to ace this hole.

ADA Accessibility Notes: Their website claims that the facility is wheelchair friendly but none of the courses follow the rules that would indicate that they are. Some may be playable but not a whole course. Mainly due to obstacle spacing and that there are no openings completely through the hole designs.

For more details on course accessibility, always check in with a course you are visiting as they may be able to do additional accommodations. In addition, a great resource is the ADA Checklist for Miniature Golf Courses.
